Beef and Cream Pasta 🍝

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Aromatics:
    • In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Prepare the Cream Sauce:
    • Pour in the beef broth and stir, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and paprika. Let the sauce simmer gently for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine Beef and Sauce:
    • Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet. Stir well to coat the beef in the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
  6. Toss with Pasta:
    • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to loosen it.
  7. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and extra Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately while hot.

Tips:

  • For added veggies, toss in spinach, mushrooms, or diced bell peppers while cooking the onions.
  • Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.

This creamy, savory dish will have everyone asking for seconds. Enjoy, Ashley! 😊
