Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 12 oz (350g) spaghetti
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 7 oz (200g) ham or smoked sausage, diced
- 1 cup heavy cream (or substitute with milk for a lighter version)
- ½ cup grated cheese (Emmental, Gouda, or Parmesan)
- ½ tsp nutmeg (traditional German touch!)
